Lguna Hills, California – May 27, 2024  –

Oak Health Center, the leading provider of comprehensive mental health outpatient care in Southern California, is delighted to announce the newest addition to its team, Kelli Mahmud, APCC. Mrs. Mahmud is an Associate Professional Clinical Counselor, bringing her expertise and dedication to empowering individuals to the Laguna Hills community.

“Kelli Mahmud is a pre-licensed professional clinical counselor (CA, Associate #APCC15307) currently being supervised by Dr. Alissa Lukas (CA License #PSY30195) for all sessions at Oak Health Center,” says Andrew Brewer, Practice Manager at Oak Health Center.

Mahmud earned her Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from The Townsend Institute at Concordia University, Irvine. Her approach to therapy is eclectic, drawing from various modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), motivational interviewing, play therapy, and family systems therapy. With a focus on understanding the complexities of children, adolescents, and transitional age youth, Mahmud creates a safe and nurturing environment where young minds can flourish.

“My journey into the mental health field was deeply personal,” says Mahmud. “Having experienced the transformative power of counseling in my own life, I became impassioned about extending that same opportunity to others.”

Mahmud’s commitment to counseling stems from her recognition of the profound need for individuals to receive guidance and support in their quest to become the best versions of themselves. She is dedicated to providing accessible, compassionate services aimed at empowering individuals to navigate life’s challenges and thrive.

“The most fulfilling aspect of my job is guiding individuals towards their destined path and witnessing their growth as they embrace newfound self-awareness,” adds Mahmud.
