Oak Health Center, Southern California’s premier comprehensive mental health outpatient care organization, is thrilled to announce the addition of Amy Cameron, PMHNP-BC, to its esteemed team.

With a nursing career spanning over 14 years, Amy Cameron brings a wealth of experience to her role as a psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner. Her journey began in critical care in 2008, where she gained insights into the crucial role psychological aspects play in optimizing mental health. Amy completed her Masters at Azusa Pacific University in 2020, choosing the institution for its alignment with her Christian values.

“I believe good mental health provides a nurturing of the mental, relational, spiritual, and physical aspects of a person,” says Amy Cameron. “My experience allows me to provide a well-rounded approach to treating the whole person. I will advocate for you to get to the best version of yourself.”

As a wife and mother of two teenagers in a blended family, Amy understands the importance of considering the whole picture when advocating for patients. Her approach to mental health emphasizes nurturing the relational, spiritual, physical, and psychological aspects of each individual.

Amy Cameron’s expertise lies in medication management, and she also offers brief supportive counseling to optimize healing through a holistic approach. She is dedicated to teaching patients how to recognize patterns that may provoke stress in their lives, empowering them to develop skills to transcend conflicts.

“I will listen to you with genuine empathy and concern. We will work together to develop the best treatment plan tailored to you,” adds Amy Cameron.
