“After spending several years working and volunteering in a range of community based organizations addressing needs in areas of education, health, food insecurity, housing, spirituality and community development, I discovered that social work could better equip me to address barriers impeding the individual, the family, and the community, and to work towards wholistic flourishing. I entered this field in order to come alongside others seeking healing, growth, and integration. I believe that we heal through and for connection. I believe that integrated people can participate in more richly connected relationships, and build stronger, more beautiful integrated communities, and that healthy communities help raise up healthy people. The best part of my work is discovering with and learning from my clients who are ever expanding my mind and heart’s view of how we can more fully be alive. I am so inspired by witnessing the strength and courage of those who enter into therapeutic work. Outside of my work in therapy, I love to laugh with my family, I run a portrait and event photography business, I try not to kill all of my beloved plants, I read eclectically, and I am regularly seeking new artistic avenues. I enjoy cooking up a good meal to share, and basking in the sun with my bearded dragon, Coriander.”
